After-Dark Decadence: Celebrating Our Debut Evening Bag Collection

Soirée Committiéer

31 October 2024

We celebrated our first collection of evening bags at a New York soirée, where we gathered with friends in an atmosphere designed to reflect the seductive elegance of our newest pieces.

There was a subtly louche, Jazz Age feel to the event hosted by our creative director Melissa Morris and a surprise performance by talented singer and multidisciplinary artist Jihae set a sparkling tone for the night.

Trays of champagne fizzing in 1920s-style coupes and martinis, both straight up and dirty, greeted guests as they arrived at the Red Room gallery space of downtown design studio Apparatus. It’s known for its dramatic approach to lighting and space and thus made an ideal setting for our first foray into evening bags – just in time for the forthcoming festive season.

Sculptural floral installations and strawberry towers by florist Carolina Malabet sat alongside our evening bags dotted on tables and the seductive qualities of the suede, satin, and lustrous leather were reflected in the classic party food. Caviar blinis, fresh oysters on the shell and fresh cream-filled eclairs were served to guests, who between bites danced to a playlist curated by DJ Isabella Massenet.

Following the tour, guests gathered in the Library for lunch where they were greeted by an artfully-inspired tablescape featuring the afternoon’s tablecloths naturally dyed with yellow onion skins to capture the brilliant shade of the museum’s iconic stained glass windows. Created by English artist Stephanie Callaghan through a process called mordanting where she sourced, cut to size, washed and hand-dyed linens sustainable made in Europe.
