Celebrating Frieze London: A Gallery Tour & Lunch
Events
16 October 2026
To kick off Frieze Week, we gathered friends in design and the arts for a private exhibition tour at the Barbican Art Gallery, followed by an intimate lunch at the The Horses in Farringdon.
Co-hosted by Métier Creative Director Melissa Morris, Alison Ross Green, Leonie Mir and Silka Rittson Thomas.
The afternoon began with a private tour of Robert Ryman's new exhibition at the Barbican, led by curator Wells Fray-Smith.
The show offers a fresh perspective on the American artist's celebrated white paintings, exploring his radical experimentation with material, surface and light.
After the tour, guests gathered for lunch at The Horses, the newly opened Farringdon pub from the team behind The Pelican, The Hero and The Hart.
Co-host Silka Rittson Thomas created floral arrangements in oyster-shell vessels, a nod to the pub’s seafood-led menu.
Each place setting included a copy of our Frieze London Guide, a Métier Aquilone leather charm and a special name card handmade by Nathan Ward –– the paper artist behind our Frieze Week window installation. His place cards resembled miniature kites, a playful reference to our charms (aquilone is Italian for kite).
